About KRANTI
Kranti was born in Italy under the sign of cancer in 1970, the year of the dog, in the Chinese horoscope. Since he was a child, he had an instinctive urge for expansion and growth.
His interest in the human mind and self-inquiry started after reading his first book on meditation written by
Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh) at age 14.
Kranti became interested in
Yoga traveling through India in 1991, and a few years later he started to develop a daily practice.

In 1996 he took a one-year long teacher training in Milan with
Carlo Patrian, one of the yoga pioneers in Italy.
He was introduced to the
ashtanga vinyasa system while in Berlin, a few years later, and fell in love with this practice. Although Kranti complements his yoga experience with the
Iyengar method and free flow hatha vinyasa yoga, ashtanga has became his daily practice and passion since then.
For the four following years he stayed in Copenhagen teaching ashtanga and hatha vinyasa. He taught different yoga enthusiasts, dancers, actors and athletes, and one of his regular students has been the Princess of Denmark, Mary Donaldson.
In 2002, Kranti attended a workshop with
Richard Freeman in Paris. Deeply inspired by Richard's versatile and open approach to yoga and yoga philosophy, the following year he travelled to Boulder, Colorado for a one-month intensive teacher training with Richard. The experience futher deepened hirs understanding the ashtanga vinyasa system, meditation and philosophy.
In 2004, he completed a two-months long teacher training with
Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford at Yogaworks in Los Angeles. He also attended, that same year, the course in
Yoga Therapy at the Yoga Biomedical Trust of London, England. He worked with students with heart disease and was moved by the powerful healing aspect of yoga as a complementary alternative therapy.
Kranti has received the authorization to teach
Ashtanga Yoga from
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2008. He's is also a registered teacher with the
Yoga Alliance (RYT and E-RYT 200 hours), and he completed the Yin Toga Teacher Training with
Sarah Powers. On July 5th 2010, Kranti has received Level 2 authorization from the
Shri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute of Mysore, India.
Kranti had studied routinely under the guidance of
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson
Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore India, since 2005. He also traveled extensively to practice with international yoga teachers including
Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty,
Mark Darby,
Louise Ellis,
Rolf Naujokat,
Lino Miele and
Noah Williams.
Under the guidance of these teachers (all certified by the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute) Kranti has completed the advanced A, or third series, of the ashtanga system.
Kranti's classes are dynamic and challenging with a focus on maintaining softness and ease through body-mind awareness. Kranti is always remembering students to keep a smile on their face! He hopes to help guide them into tapping into their own true potential.
Before teaching yoga, Kranti has held different jobs , including massage therapy, social work (with the elderly, and HIV positive patients) as well as a volunteering for a clinic for autistic children in hometown Milan, Italy.
